Just leaving a totally unbiased, 100% serious review of Pittsburg State University… 🦍 If you’re looking for a place where you can go absolutely ape over school spirit, then welcome to the jungle, baby. Pittsburg State didn’t just educate me—it primate-d me for life. First off, the mascot? A Gorilla. Not a tiger, not an eagle… a full-on, chest-thumping, banana-respecting legend. You don’t just attend PSU—you pound your chest emotionally every time someone says “Go Gorillas.” And trust me, it sticks with you. I’ve accidentally greeted people at job interviews with “OAGAAG” and somehow still got hired. Coincidence? I think not. The campus is beautiful—seriously, it’s un-fur-gettable. Between classes, you’ll find yourself just swinging from one building to another (okay, walking, but emotionally swinging). The professors? Absolute legends. They don’t monkey around when it comes to teaching, but they do know how to keep things bananas in the best way. The student life? Top-tier. Whether you're studying, socializing, or just hanging with your greek troop, there’s always something going on. And game days? Oh man… the energy is so wild it’ll make you want to climb the nearest tree and start howling. It’s not just school spirit—it’s a full-blown gorilla uprising (the friendly kind). Food options? Let’s just say I never went hungry. I was living large—call it a real ape-tite for success. In conclusion: 10/10 would enroll again. Pittsburg State doesn’t just prepare you for the real world—it makes sure you’re ready to go bananas in it. #OAGAAG 🦍

It’s an incredible college. I graduated in 1988 and had a great career based on the degree I earned at Pitt. One of my daughters is graduating from Pitt and the other is on her way to attend Pitt. Some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet!

Pittsburgh State University has a well-managed indoor track facility with several great meets each year. I am happy to have attended three meets at PSU.
